Right, so I’ve set up my blog and told you all a bit about why I’m doing it. The trouble is I know absolutely nothing about blogging!
I think it’s safe to say that I’m not very au fait with computers. I mean I can find my way around Office & Excel and I can use the systems at work with my eyes closed but that’s because I’m using them all the time. This, however is something totally out of my comfort zone. I can see it’s easy and very similar to what I’m used to but still it’s all a bit daunting.
The truth is I feel so passionately about the law of attraction and how it can change lives that I just needed to get it out there! I’ve thought about blogging before, it sounded fun and I love writing (even though I may not be very good). I love the fact that you can write about the things you feel most passionately about and interact with other people who have the same passion. It’s an opportunity to share your knowledge and experiences while learning from others who, in ‘the real world’, you may never come into contact with. Something in my gut just kept telling me to start a blog…..so that’s what I did. I’m definitely not a massive social media fan. I don’t ‘do’ Facebook or Twitter (I find them too invasive), I prefer Pinterest and occasionally Instagram. But the more I learn about blogging the more I realise that I may have to face my fear and succumb to peer pressure and dust the cobwebs off my Twitter account (Facebook can wait until I’m a super successful, inspirational speaker on all things law of attraction lol). Every blog I read about blogging said you need social media to promote your blog. It seems in today’s society social media is linked to every part of our lives and therefore is more of a necessity than a casual social interaction.
Anyway, I digress. The point is that because of my passion for my chosen subject and my decision to blog to the world about it (instead of just driving my friends and family bonkers constantly wittering on about the power of thought, like attracts like, positive thinking and all that jazz) I really needed to get with the program and learn how to do it properly. If I’m anything, it’s a perfectionist. If I’m going to do something, I want to do it right. So, with that in mind, I signed up to one of WordPress’ many course, Learning the Fundamentals. Check me out….
The point of the course is to turn me from a total novice into someone who actually knows what their doing. It’s a fourteen day course with a new task every day to help you find you way around WordPress and improve your blog. I know what you’re saying, maybe I should have done that before I started blogging my heart out, but that’s just me. Go in all guns blazing, full of passion and then realise that if I want to do this seriously then I need to know what I’m doing. So here I am, day one……publish a “who I am and why I’m here” post.
I know that’s not exactly what I’ve done (well not at all actually) but I’ve already told you all why I’m here and who I am so this seemed like the next best thing.
To me this is my opportunity to ‘get good’ at this so I can really start to share my journey and the things I’m learning along the way. I want to be able to really use the blog to it’s full potential so everyone out there can find out about the secret of the universe. The power within us all. The magic that we have at our fingertips to change the way we look at life, love, gratitude, everything around us. We are in a time of evolution, where all mankind can share in everything the universe has to offer. I honestly believe that all the things in my life up to this point have been leading me here. I haven’t always been awake to the sincronicity around me, I haven’t always listened to my intuition but I’m here now and that’s alll that matters.
Always trust your intuition, always be mindful of your thoughts. Do what makes you happy, what gives you joy. We can be whatever we want to be in life. Follow your purpose. This is mine and I really hope you enjoy sharing my journey with me and that it gives you inspiration and helps you unlock The Secret, The Law of Attraction.
Love and happiness
